What is Diamond Clear and what does it do?

Diamond clear is a clear coat filler that covers up damage in the clear coat layer over the paint. It is an effective, cheap, fast and easy solution relative to other options.

What are key ingredients?

While the proprietary formula of Diamond Clear is a closely guarded secret, we can disclose that Benzene is a key ingredient that provides much of the color and smell to the product.

What colors are good for Diamond Clear?

Diamond Clear may be applied to any color, however we suggest not applying to white vehicles until practitioners are very comfortable with the product. Imperfections of the application are most easily noticed on white vehicles. 

Why Diamond Clear vs. competitors (are there any?)

To date, there are no products on the market that can match the speed, ability, cost, and easy of use that Diamond Clear offers.

How to care for the car after application?

After application just wait between 4-6 hours for Diamond Clear to dry. Mistakes may always be removed by lacquer, paint thinner, and medium reducer.

How do I know if I need to reapply?

We suggest putting at least two coats on each job to ensure that it lasts the test of time. Deep scratches may require multiple coats to fill as well.

How long does it last?

Paint: 1-2 years, Plastic: 3-5 years, Headlights: 2-3 years
      

How long should I wait to smooth it out?

Time frame is recommended but it should not exceed past 15/20 mins per panel!

How do we know if DC (Diamond Clear) will fix the scratches?

Simple Process 1. Lick your finger and check it will disappear. 2. Medium Reducer will give you a great result to show you if DC will work or not!

Why am I not getting the same results as the videos?

We can almost guarantee it boils down to not cleaning out the scratches enough with reducer and, or you are pulling the product out of the scratches during smooth out. Lightly smooth over and when approaching the problem area. Very lightly let the microfiber work itself over the scratches allowing the product to stay in the scratches itself! If it takes more then once or twice maybe three times as long as your not taking the product out you can do it more then once to get the desired finish!

Can you coat in the hot weather?

Yes just break your process down to a panel by panel basis!

Who do I talk to when going to a dealership?

You want to talk to the guy who makes the final decision! Used car managers, general sales manager or general managers.

What do I tell the dealership?

There is no set sales pitch, no specific way every approach has it different ways of make the sale of selling yourself and your services. You're not selling the product you're selling yourself and your services. You have to understand that and having confidence in the product is key to 40/50% of the sale.
